Louboutin bakes!

Louboutin makes some of the chicest shoes in the business. Meanwhile, Laduree is the go-to place for the ultimate macaroons. Most fashion based publications will be hailing this partnership as genius, is it just me or is it all a bit ridiculous? I don't see how shoes have anything to do with baked goods. This has gone beyond the usual high street/designer or celebrity fashion line collaboration. I would like to try them though, and the boxes are rather pretty. I have no idea where to get them from, Paris perhaps?

These limited-edition macaroons will be available starting September 11.

Viktor and Rolf

I bought the book "the house of Viktor and Rolf" today, a little bit annoying that i couldn't actually look inside in the shop because of the silly packaging, but i was not disappointed. There are some lovely images of their sketches and backstage photographs, as well as all their collections.
looking through the book got me thinking of their AMAZING silver wedding dress they designed that was exhibited at Belsay hall, which i was lucky enough to go see a few years ago . x

Ch-Ch-Charles

Charles Anastase spring/summer 2009 ready to wear collection.
I think i may save up my pennies and not eat for a year just to be able to wear one of his designs. THOSE SKIRTS, hopefully my beloved H&M or Zara will soon follow suit.x

New House

I'm spending a few days moving into my new house, it looks great and Ive almost managed to unpack everything. Once its all done and looking lovely I'll post some pictures up of my vintage finds that I've collected over the years. My bedroom will look the decor equivalent of my blog, lots of lace, florals and pink pink pink. x

"This, Madame, is Versailles"

I've just re watched Marie Antoinette, and although i don't think its a particularly great film, the set design and costume alone makes me want to watch it all over again. I have always been a lover of 18th Century French costume, and grandiosity in general, so naturally I was completely enamoured with all of the garments used in the film. Watching it strengthens my belief that you should always surround your self with wonderful pretty things. x

Sretsis

One company i really love is Sretsis. The designer for the brand, Pim Sukhahuta, became noticed for her girlish yet quirky designs using whimsical prints on delicate fabrics like silk chiffon and charmeuse. All their collections are preppy and pretty, like Blair Waldorf but less groomed. Here is a selection of their spring summer collections from 09-07.

CHANEL CHANEL CHANEL

Talking about Chanel in my earlier post got me thinking of one of my favorite shows, Carl Largerfeld 2005 spring/summer for Chanel. three words, lace, pastels, and, BOWS. lovely. x
