N.S Packaging

So my graphic designer boyfriend Paul Price has lovingly offered to help me design the packaging, and labels for my final collection / degree show display.

I am designing a range of textile prints for woman's wear, interior, and wallpaper so the overall packaging has be be able to be used for all three contexts. The theme so far is creating hand crafted prints, so I would like the packaging to look homely, welcoming, warm, crafty and be quite traditional but not frumpy or too cute.

Blossom

There are some lovely cherry blossom tress around the house, so I decided I should take a few photos before the petals all fall.

Paper Cranes

Paul and I decorated our little bit of Leeds today with origami cranes he had made. I hope they'll brighten up somebody's day.

The Festival of Britain

For my final collection at uni I have been hugely inspired by images of The Festival of Britain. Hopefully my final textile designs will reflect the beautiful prints that were created to celebrate all that was great in Britain during the 1950's. Creating my own collection inspired by popular 1950's prints seems quite fitting as the 60th anniversary of the festival is currently being celebrated.
