Final Show

Me and my work at display during our degree show, and Paul and I with the wonderful Claire Belia's work as a background to our couple shot.

One of the best nights of my life, college was filled with happy, excited, creative people. I wish I could do it all again. I'll maybe post some more pictures of the night on here when I get hold of them!

News

These past few days have been a very exciting flurry of news. I keep stumbling on my work being featured on some wonderful websites and blogs, which has lead to quite a few people emailing me about my interior and fashion textiles, and where they can buy them.

This has lead to me having a few chats with people and sourcing where I can get my clothes, and soft furnishing made into production. Hopefully in the very near future you will all be able to buy my, dresses, tops, cushions, and other home accessories.

Thanks to Style it Light, Design Love Fest, Miss Moss, Where the Lovely Things Are the people of SVPPLY and any others that have taken an interest in my textiles and written wonderful things about me!

Klaus Haapanienmi

My friend Fen posted about Scandinavian textile designer Klaus Haapanienmi on her blog Subject of Style. I adore Scandinavian design and its great when I hear about designers as It really inspires my own textile designs. I wish I could afford the £350 price tag on the screen prints!

Saltaire

Visited Salts Mill in Saltaire with Paul over the weekend and spent ages in their amazing shops and cafe. The little town itself was so pretty too, with lots of cobbled streets and old brick houses.

Dye Party

I went round to Jodies house the other night to play around with natural dying. We used walnut shells and logwood which meant we ended up with amazing rust coloured fabric and a few purple pieces too. I think Jodie is planning on making some scarves and a dress out of the silks we dyed, I might have to steal a scarf!

Look Book Photo Shoot

Here are a few photographs from my look book photo shot the other day, I am super happy with them! I'm currently editing them and designing an actual physical look book to be printed and sent out to people.

Mociun Prints

My favorite prints by fashion label Mociun.

"Mociun was founded in 2006 with a small collection of hand print womens garments. Over the past five years the company has expanded adding digitally printed fabrics and fine jewelry. As Mociun continues to grow sustainable production and business practices are always considered, as they are as important as good design. Mociun strives to use recycled, organic and alternative materials. Whenever possible all Mociun products are made using local production in hopes to give back to the economy and community that has helped Mociun thrive"
