Triangle Print Collection
Been working on these while I've been in Turkey. Going to get them up of my website soon and figure out what I could make out of them, I'm thinking scarves or notebooks?
Feathers
Here are a selection of feathers that I painted over a couple of days, I may scan them in and turn them into some prints. I think they might work well on scarves? Either way they look quite nice laying around the house!
A Few New Designs
Firstly I I feel like I should apologies for my lack in posts the past few weeks. Im actually in turkey for almost a month, which is flying by sadly. I have however attempted a wee bit of work whilst being here, its a bit of a random bunch but hopefully soon i'll have new floral, woodland, and geometric collections.
I am also looking into getting products made out of my prints to sell on my etsy shop, cushions, totes, drawstring bags, and note books I think!
Sew Sew Sew
The past week or two I've been practicing my sewing. I was pretty awful so I thought it was high time I learnt a useful skill! Shown above are an oil cloth book bag made from some lovely Swedish fabric designed by a design group called tio gruppen, ten swedish designers in English! I also made a wee make up bag from the same fabric and a patch work cushion in a selection of Amy Butler prints.
Lena Corwin
I've known about Lena Corwin for a while but since doing a wee bit of research to inspire my own textile designs I have realised how much I adore her work. From her website...
“Lena Corwin lives in Brooklyn, where she designs textile patterns, draws illustrations, writes and publishes books, and teaches classes. She has illustrated two children's craft books, titled Kids Crochet and Kids Weaving. She is a co-curator of Lines & Shapes, an artist collective and small book publisher "
